A good burnout always has some kind of strange allure...maybe from the toxic fumes given off by the tires, lol!

Maybe the real attraction is the ability to watch your tires get wasted. Then you can buy new ones.

LMAO I've always thought the EXACT same thing. Not to mention the possible damage or residue on your rear quarter.

I've seen some rear arches get torn up by flailing rubber, not pretty.

This isn't limited to rear drivers, it's funny to see modified front drive Grand Prix at the drag strip with huge front tires, and skinny back ones. Must take serious skill to control the torque steer.

There were some nice burnouts in Smokey & The Bandit, I would like to believe they were all done brake torqueing the Olds 403. Bandit lays down a nice patch of rubber even when the car is rolling (when he picks up Frog for the first time in her wedding dress).

Burnouts are the only reason I have F-bodies. Stand on the brake and let the engine hover between 2 and 3 thousand RPM. You can sit there all day or until the tires burn off.
