Thanks for posting the pictures! I miss "Goldie"... can't beat a stock LT1 that makes great gas mileage like she did.

How does the LT1 compare with the L05?

I hope she is treating you all well!

I am having Roadmaster withdrawl, but love the wagon's abilities.. so now I am on the prowl for a '94-96 WB4 Roadmaster wagon!

I took the car out to get it emission checked when we first got it and when I got back to my street, I stopped and floored it to see what it would do. It let out a tiny chirp and then went. (2.56 gears) About an hour later I did the same thing with my L05 and when I punched it the tire just started smoking until I let off (impala ss rims and 3.08 gears).

My dad and I are going to go head to head when I get back from college. I think it will be interesting. I'm sure his LT1 would take me at highway speeds, but we shall see. L05 Tow-pak car with 3.08's vs. LT1 with 2.56's.

The car runs great. My dad is working on the dent in the rear quarter. I pounded most of it out, and he is going to finish it. The only thing that happened, and is really weird, is that the car was parked for a long time (2-3 weeks) while my dad was using his wagon, and when we moved it there was nothing on the ground under the car. When we put it back in the garage 10 minutes later there was an oil spot where the car had been parked on the road.

Other than that, she is awesome. I really love that car. I have a set of 3.08 gears from my last Roadmaster sitting in my garage and I was trying to get my dad to take my car and give me the LT1 car, but for some reason, he wouldnt do it.

Elias, post up some pics of your new wagon. I'd like to see what it looks like.

Awesome, glad to hear she is doing well! That is brave of you guys to try and tackle that dent, I didn't want to risk bending it outwards or I would have done it.

The oil leak could be the oil cooler lines or oil filter adapter? Those are common on the LT1, I had to do them on the Fleetwood.

I will make a new post for the Caprice wagon later this weekend. I am going to take these nasty 20 inch wheels that came with it off on Saturday and put my 9C1 wheels with 255s on there :stirpot: It only has the L03 motor with no tow package.. but it makes 28mpg on the highway!

Take care!

That was my guess on the oil leak because it looked like one of the lines was pretty wet.

Haha, yea, I saw those 20's in your sig. Definitely post up some pictures.
