I bought my car a while ago (92 seville) and only the drivers door would work with the power locks. I never really cared muchj but today I decied to investigate under the door panel to see why they werent working. I took the front RH side door panel off and saw that there was a harness dis connected, so I connected it and the power lock worked fine. Well I went to start my car after connecting the harness and....... nothing. I disconnected the harness, tried to start her again and... nothing. My battery is completely dead, or so I think. Why the hell did that kill my battery in a matter of 30 or 40 seconds??

If what you did really killed the battery completely in 30-40 seconds you would have had spectacular smoke and fire. Your problem is something else.

I checked the voltage of the battery and it was completely dead.

I put a new battery in and everything works fine. My battery was old and that might have just pushed it over the edge.

So I think im just gonna cut my losses with the power locks.
