this came out well enough that I figured I'd share it around the net, because I can't seem to find anyone elses similar work (which is odd)
originally sourced the CTSV wheels, and they do look acceptably mean, but the chromies off the SEMA Vseries really bring out the uber pimp factor of the car.
I could have done more, but this is the XLR-V I would want if they ever made one.
enjoy...

funny story on a sidenote, my good friend is the service manager at the local cadillac dealership, he printed this image and showed it to the sales staff...every single salesman bought it as a publicity photo of the new model.

I think that the CTS-V bumper/grille looks better on the XLR...
Otherwise, thats a great interpretation! :D

uhhh...maybe I mistunderstand your post...but that is the CTS-V bumper/grill...on an XLR. Oh well, perhaps you meant it looked better on the CTS, which may be true, for no other reason then the CTSV is one of the best looking cars on the road.

I meant that the bottom grille part from the CTSV looks better fitted on the XLR than it does on the CTSV itself.

I went to the Cadillac Dealer in Asheville today and looked a XLR over. Until you have stood beside, and gotten into one of these beautiful cars, you don't know what you're missing. You would never know by looking at the pics what an awesome car this is. If I could only fine an extra $75,000 I'd be in my driveway. The dealership said that is the only one they will get this year:violin:
DAMN!!!!!! that looks good

I went to the Cadillac dealer in Charlotte last Friday and *Lo & Behold* he had TWO XLR's. However, he had added a $20,000.00 "just for the hell of it" surcharge to the $75K sticker bringing the cost to just under a tenth of a million bucks. So I bought a pre-owned Eldorado instead (check out my homepage). I told him when somebody trades one of them in, I will come back and see him (sigh).
