While hitting the junkyard for an Astro roof for my coupe (see the other thread), I found this in the trunk of the same car.

It is in the left side, at the back of the car. There is what looks like a door lock knob that tilts back and forth.

Here's the inside:

Anyone want anything? It's an 89 Brougham D'Elegance. The car is loaded, except for leather. I am grabbing the Astro and the dimming mirror. Maybe some badges and chrome. The dash is crack-free. If you want something, post here, and I will get prices on Monday.

Jason.

I need a trunk release actuator, but my local yards are full of 80's Broughams, so i can just get one there. Does the plastic trim for the Astroroof match your interior?

It's the manual control for the automatic locking fuel door. My 96 FW 6-door Limo has the same piece, but it's oriented toward the rear plate instead of the side.

Cool. I'll grab that, too. I like the idea of keeping the mods on my 81 only Cadillac options.

No the trim for the Astro switch is maroon, and I need blue. I'll either find a blue one, trade this one, or SEM it. I hope to use the four door headliner, because it is much lower to fit the roof when it is slid back. It will need to be recovered in blue, as well as the privacy panel that slides to cover the glass. Recovering headliners is easy. Here is one in a Caprice my mother did after I emailed her instructions:

That's the right place for it to be on for a 84era caddy. :)
