I think the worlds most powerful engine technically is the main engine on the space shuttle, it makes 37,000,000 hp and weighs 28 tons....

And how big a battery do you need to start it? Would it fit in the bed? What happens if it doesn't start the first time? Just who is gonna be able to give you a boost? Well, you could always push-start it. :histeric:

Hey! You could redeploy the 500 as the starter motor!

The link in the first post isn't working for me, but my very brief research shows that the 12-cylinder Sulzer 12RTA96C engine (output of 89,640 bhp) is the most powerful diesel engine currently in production.
