: Need brake adjustment help

Since I did my brakes a few weeks ago, I have been hearing a rattle when I hit bumps. I believe that it is because my "position adjustment screws" were loose on the front left. There are 4 basic bolts - 2 hold the caliper unit to the suspension, and 2 hold the "pad frame" to the caliper. It is the last two that were loose... I know how they got that way, but nevermind that (my helper).
My question is, what is the appropriate position for them. Should the centerline of the rotor show through the sight window on the caliper? Should it be backed all the way out? Should it be tightened to deform the rubber grommet on the shaft slightly? Help!

IGNORE the request... it doesn't adjust as I had suspected... the nut is attached to the guide spindle. All I needed to do was tighten it.
