: bad cylinder

97 sts with northstar
keep getting code #1 cylinder misfire
replaced coil pak,sparkplugs and injector
took compression 150 #1 all others 180
any help would be appreciated

Replace the wires (A/C Delco).

Swap the wires first and see if the misfire code follows. Wouldn't want you to spend $200 on new wires when you've got something more seriou$ to deal with.

Having 1 cylinder 30psi lower than the rest does not sound promising though. Does it use coolant?

yes the plug is firing
the car runs pretty good, it just has a lope
i took it out on the hwy to clear the code and pass emissions
but the code comes right back

swap the injectors between 1 and 3

the #1 injector is the latest change it's new
problem is the same after the change

Install a compression guage in #1 and then put the plug in the wire and ground the plug. Start the engine. Allow it to idle. note pressure. Clear the pressure in the hose with the release button. note the time it takes to build and the max PSI. Switch to any other plug that is easy to get to. Perform the same test and note. Get back to me.
