Three years ago I moved from New York to South Florida.. That marked the end of many years of training in mixed martial arts. My training was done at Chi's Martial Arts Training Center (http://www.nymatc.com/) and Charles Chi was my instructor. I practiced JKD (Jeet Kune Do) Concepts, Wing Chun Kung Fu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Western Boxing, a little Brazilian Jiu Jitsu/Japanese Shoot Wrestling, and a bit of Pencak Silot. Before that, I trained in Tae Kwon Do.

When I moved here with a broken foot that took two full years to heal, I gave up on martial arts and concentrated on power-lifting. That, and the fact that there were no MMA schools around the Palm Beach area. However, that has now changed..

A couple of weeks ago, I was pushing a shopping cart in the food store and somebody came up to me and asked if I "pulled trucks". I suppose at 5ft 7in and 270lbs, I looked like that kinda guy. For the past few months, I've been lifting REALLY heavy and I admit, I look like a lumberjack.

But no more! I've found my new MMA school... Fizogen Couture Extreme Mixed Martial Arts Training Center (http://www.fizogen-couture.com/index2.html)! There, I'll be practicing MMA, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muai Thai Kickboxing, Wrestling, Western Boxing, American Kick Boxing and Elite Strength and Conditioning in a 7500+ square foot facility with fenced in grappling area, circle cage and boxing ring...

On occassion, I'll get to train with Randy "The Natural" Couture, Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva and more...

I suffered some bad injuries about two weeks ago and my doctor has me on hold for another few weeks.. But after that, I'm diving into this head first... Anybody with me? (As you can probably tell, I'm REALLY excited about this!)
