Hi,

My wife and I just picked up a 2006 Light Platinum (silver) CTS-V with 5400 miles on it yesterday from a Cadillac, Rolls Royce, and Bentley dealership (talk about a different experience!). We've had a Pewter 1998 Corvette C5 Coupe since Feb. 1999 with a 6 speed, Z51, and LS1. It now has 60k miles on it with no problems. I've taken it to Road America and Gingerman tracks for track days and ran a 13.4 @ 108 at Great Lakes Dragaway (I can't launch worth a darn). I haven't put many miles on the V in the 12 hours I've owned it, but looking forward to it. My 1-day comparo between the two - the V rides nicer and has more luxury bells and whistles like NAV and heated seats, but it's 90 outside so those don't matter now. The Vette is easier to drive fast and corners better but I'm not sure which would be faster in a straight line. Anyway, they're both a blast to drive - even to commute to work in. I'm in the northern suburbs of Chicago.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up! Your CTS-V is going to be a sleeper compared to the Vette.. Most people still don't realize what a V-Series Cadillac is...

and just curious Tom how long does it take you to think up those poems. Does it just spew out or do you have to sit down and think awhile of words that rhyme?

It spews; nonetheless; time
is consumed by my mind, by
ensuring that the spelling is
accurate; at any and all times.

I am obliged to you, and thank
you kindly for asking.

Best Regards,
