I have an 02 or 03 (cant remember which year) Northstar in a 1986 Fiero running a standalone ECU. It has the nippon denso alternator, and I think the output was PCM controlled. I have the red wire hooked up to power, it charges, but I think it is overcharging. I have a wiring diagram for both year alternators, but the other 2 wires go to the PCM, 02 go to some monitor pins on the PCM, but in 03, one wire goes to an input, and one to an output. And I think this is an 03 motor. Is it safe to leave these 2 wires disconnected? Or are they for a PCM controlled regulator?
