I have a 2000 dts and its leaking trans fluid, the line is between the radiator and the enginee, its about the width of a quater or maybe a little larger than a nickle, it looks like its a three piece line with sometype of connectors on it . it is metal not rubber. and its and s shaped line.....i dont see where it connects to the radiator though. can someone please tell what line this is and about how much would this cost to replace,,, thanks in advance.

Drivers side? Probably a trans fluid cooler line.

yeah ,thats what i think it is , its actually right in front of the motor , drivers nor passenger side , but the line does run through something on the passenger side next to the fuse box (under the hood). thanks for the help.(ranger to the rescue)

There is no plumbing associated with the transmission on the passenger side of the engine compartment.

If you remove the plastic trim piece that covers the entire front of the underhood area from the front of the engine to the top of the headlights, you will see the transmission pressure lines connected to the top and bottom of the radiator side tank. All of this is on the driver's side of the engine (left side).

What you are now describing is not the trans cooler line. Maybe an A/C line from the condenser?

Going into the radiator? top or bottom?
