I hate living downtown, but I love the view of Downtown and the Chicago river from my living room in our condo:

Ha, cool! I don't usually like city views much, but I think I could deal with that. :)

Man, that's gorgeous, I've always wanted to go to Chicago, if only for a tour of the architecture! Do you think Chicago would be a suitable city for the '08 National meet?

Thanks Chad! If you are in the area, you are more than welcome at my place. I am blocks away from the Sears Tower, Mccormick Place, Lake Shore Drive, etc

I think St. Louis is better than Chicago for the National meet. After seeing the way ISSCA put autoX, road racing, car show, sound off, drag racing, and other events into 3 days in St. Louis... it was pure bliss.

Chicago would be good, but it would have to be in the Suburbs. The nearest track is Byron.

Now why do you hate live in the city 96Fleet? I love living in Lincoln Park which is like less than 2 miles from the Sears Tower...

Now why do you hate live in the city 96Fleet?..

Having moved here after growing up in Virginia Beach, and living the previous year in Miami, FL... wouldn't you hate it too?

I miss the beach, the snow-free winters, the nicer roads (the potholes here is why my Cadillac stays couped up), nicer & beautiful people!

I also HATE the traffic here. It takes me 1.5 hours to make my 8 mile one way commute to work....there is construction everywhere!
