: We can only hope...

This is the first GM product Ive seen that can give the A8, hell the S8 for that matter!!, a run for its money at 50000.00 less. If GM is smart (dont hold your breath for too long), they will bring this thing over here ASAP. If they are smarter still, theyll leave it mostly untouched. Everything about this car just works and flows perfectly... and the performance doesnt hurt either.

Dont compare an Opel to an Audi. Never.

It looks nice enough, but Lord is it bland. Maybe a color other than white.

Since when is Audi so special? I didnt say it was an equal to the A8, I said the A8 doesnt merit the additional 50k.

Yes, this is very much like the Impala that is and was under development, with the upper end models getting the high powered V8's. The issue that delayed it all again is, of course, fuel economy. The driving dynamics, look, and feel are all there...but they're trying to re-evaluate powertrain ideas and specifics to figure out how they can meet new targets. Kind of hard to do, at least with the higher powered V8 models, but we'll see how it goes.

Still, the Pontiac G8 (a.k.a. Holden Commodore) is done and will be here shortly, as will the Camaro in 97% concept form, as it too is close to done. It's the others that weren't as far along that are getting re-evaluated and re-figured.

Otherwise...some odd responses on this board so far...but that does happen frequently, here and elsewhere.

Its clean and beautiful, with some muscular shoulders along the beltline.

C.A.F.E. along with the gutless GM heads over here will kill that. Too bad though, because we could really use that.

ZETA rules.....what a sweet platform.

I saw the G8 in person at the Chicago Auto show, it looked very European inside... but very GTO/G6 like on the outside.

It better be priced in the low $30K region because the SRT8 Chargers can be bought for mid to high $30s brand new.

I agree, Catherine ZETA Jones is a fine platform. Oh wait....we're talking about a car :stirpot:
