So who here exercises regularly? What do you do? Who hasn't exercised since their highschool gym class?

I used to play racquetball 7 days a week when I was in school, I was a solid B player; looking to get back into it soon. Now I run 5 days a week a few miles, with my orange iPod Shuffle loaded with Zeppelin. :musical:

I consider myself very lucky to have a Bally's Fitness Center in the bottom floor of my condo building. We get free access too

So, I workout 4 days a week. I always start with 10 minutes of Cardio and then I alternate muscle groups depending on what day it is, then end with 20 minutes of cardio. It all turns out to be a hour to hour and 15 minutes of fun. Then I supplement it with eating and drinking right, which is needed to make the workout worthwhile.

I am not a big guy (6'1, 172 lbs), but I am lean, defined, and healthy, which is exactly what I want.

I also try to add some bike riding or swimming on the weekend *if* I have time.. not to mention a good amount of car detailing once a week.

Going to pick up my freshly tuned and new-bearing'd mountain bike here in a few minutes...Kayaks were picked up last week and have been well used. I'm not doing as much lifting as I'd like to, but the other stuff is making up for it. :)

By the way, I just convinced a good looking girl I met at the bar last night to go kayaking with me this weekend. Will keep ya'll informed. :)

I lift 5 days a week. I occasionally play basketball and jog to keep cardio in check, and play golf once or twice a month which can be a workout in itself.

Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon says that man is only allocated so many heartbeats during his time on earth and he isn't going to waste a damn one exercising.

I used to work out a little. But nothing much for a while. However, I have been on a diet and lost 50 pounds since new years. Without exercising. But I think I'm going to start running, once you get close to your goal it gets harder... much harder.

I can't run any more due to a heel injury. My wife uses a recumbent stepper (NuStep) due to her disability. I spend about 20 minutes on it every weekday morning.

Run 1-2 miles daily, 7 days a week, with my 30gb iPod loaded with rock. This week's choice music has been Pearl Jam, some Nirvana and as always, Rush.

Lately I've been crawling around on my hands and knees nailing down hardwood flooring. Next it's baseboards, baseboard heat, drywall repairs, and paint. The best exercises accomplish something useful.

Well I need to excercise. It's the only way I can gain weight other than drinking beer. Right now I'm very underweight. I weigh in at a walloping 123 pounds. I'm on a strict gain weight diet right now, although I've been on that diet for a few years now and haven't gained a pound. It's weird; I can eat as much as I want and not gain anything because of my metabolism.

Basically, I work out 3 times a week with body weight exercises and bowflex (Though not recently, I have had too much crap to do besides, changing a HG makes you PLENTY strong ;)).

Then I play tennis as much as the weather permits.

And I also swim every night.

You might find your metabolism catches up with you with a vengance when you get older. When I graduated high school, I was 6' 0" and weighed about 140 lbs. I could—and did—eat all I wanted and never gained weight.

Until I hit my 30s.

Then my weight went up fast. First, it was 180, then 200, and now it's anywhere from 210 to 220.

I know I should exercise, and it's good for you, blah, blah, blah, but I really hate it. I have a treadmill that my ex-wife left behind and I may use it for a few weeks after New Years, but I've never been able to stick to it.

But I have started playing golf again, and since I'm cheap, I usually walk the course. And I should dust off my bike and air up the tires. So maybe I'll get in better shape one of these days.

Once you get into it, it becomes a habit. I feel like a sloth if more than 3 days go by without some gym time.

I was 146 lbs. (I'm 6'1") when I graduated highschool. Right now I'm 194. That's what 4 years of heavy beer consumption and weight-lifting will do for a guy. But in all fairness, my chest and shoulders have really filled out too, I'm starting to look alot more like my dad every day.

I'm 5'6" and 135 lbs. I can eat all the shit food I want (fast food for either lunch or dinner 5 days a week) and not gain a pound. I got really lucky because there really isn't anyone in either side of the family that's overweight....or tall. LOL! So hopefully my metabolism will stay high for my life.

I'm guilty of doing it regularly for a few weeks every year. Not always a New Year's resolution, usually a cool weather thing.

But I eat right, quit smoking, keep my weight down, and use dumbbells frequently at work. That at least keeps my arms and shoulders toned pretty well. It's sort of a Sopranos-style workout I do in case I have to go collect the vig from somebody.

Well I hope it doesn't! I think I have like a 50/50 chance of it happening though. My moms side of the family is all in shape but my dads side not so much.

Yeah I was 120 when I graduated highschool... and 5'10".... and I'm close to the same right now. lol... Just the other day I got carded just to take a taxi (I'm on vacation with my parents in Las Vegas). Here you have to be 18 to get a taxi. I asked the driver how old he thought I was and he said 15. hahaha... I can't wait till I'm 21 and come here, but then I might get mobbed by people carding me in the casino. lol

Enjoy it while you can. When I was 15 I was 5'6" and 135 lbs. A year later I was almost 6'1", 138 lbs. Grew over six inches, gained three pounds in about 10 months. By the time I was 18 I had gained 20 pounds, but lost it all due to TWO cases of food poisoning in college that I never got over.

I spent the next 20 years trying to gain weight. I tried supplements, eating all the fast food I wanted, GALLONS of ice cream, starches, and weight training. NOTHING happened. I stayed below 160 no matter what I did.

Then I turned 40 and almost overnight jumped up to 193. That was scary but I got it back under control pretty fast.

Thin people live longer. I lived the first half of my life trying to get heavier. Now I guess I'll spend the second half doing just the opposite.

Consistency is the key. Besides from working out everyday, there needs to be an alternating of hard and easy days. Occasionaly ill take a day off, but this does not become a habit and only happens once a month.

If that is all you do for "exercise".. in a couple years you won't be able to see wheezer anymore :crybaby:

I exercise every so often. I'm in my pool at least 4-5 times a week or Jason's neighbor's. I'm trying to get in contact with my old high school to just workout with my old soccer team; that coach put me in shape. I was a size 14 freshmen year and I dropped down to a 6 by the end of soccer season. I weigh about 151 lbs (which a lot of people don't believe me) but thankfully some of my body is still toned.

When I'm back at college I normally workout 3-4 days doing ab work then I go run on the tred mill from 15-25 minutes.
