i bought a brand new cadillac dts, within 3 weeks and 800 miles, the wire harness burned. cadillac wouldnt replace the lemon with a new car, instead they fixed the "malfunction" as covered under the warranty. i cant wait for the next "malfunction" to occur. dont buy a 2007 dts, fruit of the loom has better quality control. this is my last gm car.

1 defect does not make a lemon.
depending on your state it usually involves the same defect that a dealer has tried 2 times unsuccessfully to fix, or 30 days total at the dealership over 24 months.
you had 1 defect which was fixed. whats the big deal?
Floyd,
First, welcome to the Forums! I'm so sorry you've had a negative experience with your car, and so early on, too. But as Urbanski rightly says, one defect does not a lemon make. I would urge you not to judge your car, nor GM, so harshly solely on the basis of one manufacturing flaw. I suspect that as time goes on and you spend more time with the car, you'll find you have a very fine machine indeed, and this early hiccough will fade into distance memory. Best of luck, and happy motoring!

I agree with urb, one problem does not a lemon make.
It doesn't matter how few miles are on it.
Mistakes happen, your complaint is vague at best, and it looks like your dealer promptly fixed the issue. I am not sure why you got your dander all riled up there.
How many mistakes have you made at your job?
At any rate, it is hard for us to judge the situation one way or another based on what you posted. I am sorry to hear you had a problem but I hardly think what you wrote justifies your conclusion. Maybe we don't know the whole story and you are right?
