Hey guys, has anyone ever hooked up a backup beeper to their sled like the ones on heavy machinery (dump trucks, garbage trucks, tow motor). I just thought it would be cool.

Really easy to do.... JC Whitney type places sell the kits.

the double cab/cattle box Chevy 3500 at work has the beeper on it.

I bought a 12v beeper at the electronics store and wired it into my reverse light on a POS van I owned. The beeper was a couple of bucks, a lenth of wire and some in line connectors. Done for under $5

I have a backup indicator,and it's a pair of 3" piped Flomaster dual chamber exhausts..They wouldn't hear a backup beep horn over those anyways..

They're super-easy to put in, but not much use if you have a good rearward view. Every once in a while I'll see some real hardcore old dude with one, but that's about it. I wouldn't put one in a private car lest I look like a really paranoid old dude.
