Hey guys, has anyone ever hooked up a backup beeper to their sled like the ones on heavy machinery (dump trucks, garbage trucks, tow motor). I just thought it would be cool.

Koooop 06-11-07, 06:53 PM I bought a 12v beeper at the electronics store and wired it into my reverse light on a POS van I owned. The beeper was a couple of bucks, a lenth of wire and some in line connectors. Done for under $5 72CoupeDeVil 06-14-07, 03:12 PM I have a backup indicator, and it's a pair of 3" piped Flomaster dual chamber exhausts..They wouldn't hear a backup beep horn over those anyways.. Red_October_7000 06-14-07, 08:38 PM They're super-easy to put in, but not much use if you have a good rearward view. Every once in a while I'll see some real hardcore old dude with one, but that's about it. I wouldn't put one in a private car lest I look like a really paranoid old dude. | |
