Fellow members,
Been reading and viewing as much as my schedule allows but still have a few questions which probably have already been touched on but any advise or leads is appreciated.
In my search have narrowed down to putting some 22's on my '05 Ext. Looking at 22 x 9.5 (not even sure what the 9.5 is for but seems to be a standard for the truck in this size). Tire: 305-45-22 or 305-40-22 (pirelli scorpions). Live in PA so I would be changing the wheels for winter. I spoke with a rep from "discounted wheel warehouse" who suggested I could either take out the pressure monitor from the original wheels and place in the new (not an option for me) or purchase a set (where for a decent price?), SHIP TO THEM, and they will install the monitors with my purchase of a wheel / tire package. Since I haven't made online purchases with the amount of money involved, what is the forums opinion on this scenario? What have other folks done to getting the monitors installed? Local shops want outragous $ and online seems better price wise.....
