The car is sold but till the kid pays it off, I'm still driving it. Looking pretty close to the way she was when I got her except a bit lower and of course faster. Anyway snapped these pics today, car is being sold like this and not with the Impala SS wheels. Gonna miss this car and I think keeping it till the kid pays it off wasn't a good idea cause at times I change my mind about selling it.

You bastard!... j/k :thumbsup:Does look kinda cool with the lowered suspension/whitewalls and wire wheel covers doesn't it?. These are older style non locking wheel covers but I like them. The kid that put the money down on it and is supposedly making payments on it has failed to make payment this week so I'm thinking about telling him to screw off and just keep the damn car. Put it back on Craigslist and to my surprise, already got 3 inquiries on it and a guy looking at it tomorrow. I really could use a Suburban or Blazer or some other type of big vechicle. I love the Mark VIII's I just bought but I need something with more hauling/versatility capabilities. I dont want to make the Fleetwood the beach cruiser/work horse but thats exactly what I've been doing lately. These pics were taken on the way to the beach.

Elegance personified.
Curvy Cadillacs just don't have that true classic look.

It looks so clean with the oem wheelcovers but it doesn't quite look right with the wheelcovers and lowering kit.

It looks so clean with the oem wheelcovers but it doesn't quite look right with the wheelcovers and lowering kit. No?, I like the way it looks now with the wheel covers and whitewalls. I liked it better with the SS wheels but it still lools pretty gangsta, lol. Handles better with the 17" SS wheels but the handling isn't too bad with the stock wheels either which surprised me. I really hate to see this car go though, I even thought about selling the '98 Mark VIII for a quick profit and just keeping the ole Fleetwood. Then again the Mark gets much better mpg than the Fleetwood and is a whole lot newer. I dunno. :alchi:

Good luck with the sale...What's replacing it?Well I need something with some hauling room so either an Astro minivan or an extended cab truck or an old Blazer/Bronco. Whatever it is, its not gonna be a daily vechicle that job has been assigned to the Mark VIII's.

Why not a truck? Out of your list, I'd go with a Blazer/two door Tahoe. The last of GM's "true suv's".

Those Two door Tahoe/Blazers are one of my favorite trucks. And they've seemed to hold thier value for the last five years.

I too love the two door Tahoes/Yukons and Blazers, as they're my favorite SUV of all time, but if cargo carrying capacity was your #1 need, wouldn't a truck suit you better. Unless you wanted to carry your family and cargo...can't do that in most trucks.

Unless you wanted to carry your family and cargo...can't do that in most trucks. The Marks are fine for getting the family around daily but not good when I need to haul some stuff or have guests come from out of town. I used to have a conversion van for that stuff but that was too big. I hate to say it but a mini van is definately the best solution although the most boring one as well.

Now if I was to stoop down to Destroyer level I would insult your car, then insult you, multiple times, while replying to your thread just to say there is no point in making it and that nobody cares.

But I am better then that.

So... Nice car, I like it.

So... Nice car, I like it.You have already done that. How many times are you gonna tell us that the 93-96 Fleetwoods are ugly except for the front grills and how many times are you gonna repeat yourself about how there was a Mark VIII parked next to your Town Car when you were buying it and how the Mark was ugly from any point of view and the interior is no nicer than a Taurus?. You can dish it out but seem to have a hard time accepting any criticism. Every time you post pics of your double ugly cars eveyone, including me have been nice and wishing you luck with them but you dont stop there. You then proceed to tell us why your cars look better and are better. You like your rides and thats great but when someone else posts up a pic of their rides can you refrain from saying anything that isn't nice or comparing them to your cars and explaining why yours is better?. :thepan:

Destroyer, it saddens me to see your Brougham go, I've long-admired it, and the condition you've kept it in. It saddens me even more, however, to think of anyone but a "true" Cadillac enthusiast buying it and pimping it out. Don't ever lose the pictures you have of it, they'll be treasures to you in no time.

I was thinking of putting a 3.8 Turbo from a Buick GN in the Brougham if I had bought it from you. Imagine the look on peoples faces once they hear PSSHHHHTTTT coming from it as I head down the track...

...hmmm maybe I can do that to my wagon! Nahh, that car deserves a 454 or Caddy 500.

Yep, that's been done, and it was actually a cool swap--the Turbo 3.8, that is.

Otherwise, larger V8's could also be cool, if big overkill in fuel guzzling and such are your ticket.

Then there's also as is...which, from what Destroyer has said of it, is quite nice.

Regardless, hope it DOES go to a nice home, and hopefully not even one who will turn it from firmed up/semi-sport land yacht into a "look how big my rims are" kind of hooptie. But, still, once you sell, that part is kind of out of sight, out of mind.

There is a 427 BBC on ImpalaSS forum right now, $1500.... 7L worth of power. Might be a nice choice, high revving BB power..... I think it is a 454 (stroked 427 block).

I have thought about dropping in my 455 Pontiac with EFI on it in my 94 Fleetwood....

Well, the kid making payments fell over a week behind so I stuck it back on Craigslist and sold it within 3 days!. Great new owner, older guy but not a typical older guy though, this guy liked the fact the car was not stock. The new owner does (or used to do) pin striping on cars (the cool artsy stuff) and has many plans for the car. Another guy looked at it (also another Caddy enthusiast) and is coming with the money on Wednesday, I have to call him and break the news to him. Overall I thought I would be more down about selling it but I think it was the right thing to do for me at this time. I really have more of a need for a truck/SUV type vechicle. When I'm ready for a toy and the gas prices come down a bit, it will be Deville convertible time!.

Congrats! I am still kicking myself for not buying it, but oh well.

You should get a wagon, much cheaper than a SUV and just as roomy. The '94-96 Roadmaster Wagons are nice and even have the LT1

Roadmaster wagons look HOT on SS rims...

Or you could get the Chevrolet version and do kind of a SS wagon thing.

The Olds was only made for 2 years and only came with the L05 motor.. so it is not as popular to modify.

The CC was the exact same as the Roadmaster wagon, so they stopped making it in 1992 and only kept the Caprice and Roadmaster. The Caprice was almost $7-10K cheaper than the RM wagon, leaving enough difference to keep both.
