I finally broke down and got a set of 22 inch rims with 305/40/22's. I was very happy that I have not had any rubbing issue's and did not see any big decrease in ride quality which was 2 issue's I was worried about. I will try and get some pictures up in the next day or 2.

You haven't even lowered it so don't even worry about ride quality.
Looks good!

Looks great! Could you also post a pic from the front or back? I am trying to decide what size tires to buy for my 02. Or e-mail me some yukon33@aol.com

Thank you

Sure, I will get one up this weekend. I'll tell you it looks mean with the 305/40/22. Our trucks are real big and just need a large tire, a skinny tire on a big truck just looks dumb LOL

Definetly agree, LOL
I also had gone with aftermarket rims .

22" is a good standard size, especially if you want to drop it. I run the same size tire (305/40/22) in a Toyo AT Open County and have never had rubbing issues... ride quality was the same with the bigger wheels... till I dropped it 2"/3". Rides a little more 'bouncy', But it's worth it, if you're not a fan of the GM wheel gaps :bigroll:
(22" TIS 08 wheels)
