Has anyone actually installed the Viper keyless entry system on an early 1990's Cadillac?

They say it is easy to install but after putting a CD changer in recently I have a new appreciation for what a wiring maze my Deville is!

Should I consider another system? All I really want is keyless entry and remote trunk pop would be a bonus if reasonably priced.

Any insight would be appreciated.

In my opinion Viper is the best when it comes to remote uses in the car. Even if its just a keyless.

Question, Why is it that you dont want an alarm?

Thanks for the feedback on Viper.

I haven't ruled out an alarm yet to be honest; that having been said- I have to ask who would go to the trouble of stealing a 14 year old car anyway?

Well as long as its passive, you will get a slight discount on your insurance but when it comes to stealing a 14 yr old car-------alot of people would only because there really isnt alot of trouble in stealing a car like this. Most thiefs have mastered the GM theft protection anyway.

here is the remote start by itself :http://www.drdetailshop.com/V160XV.htm

For a couple dollars more the alarm is really worth it.
