Spend the $$$ for an OEM FSM. In addition to the correct information, the code processes, RPO information, and part numbers are invaluable.

Neither are any good for anything but the most basic repairs. Follow Submariners advice and get a FSM by Helm Inc. Ebay is your friend.

Watch ebay. Should be able to locate a 97, 98, or 99 Helms manual for about $70 plus shipping.

Might luck out and find one for $30 plus ship.

Do not pay $100.

Also, if you approach your serv mgr at dealer, he might agree to sell you an old manual, as most shops now use the computer.

Good Idea. I got an old one for another car off the Chevy Dealer years ago. I'll see if I can snag up one for the caddy.
