Garage man decided to change the serpentine belt. Again, after the fact I told him we changed it not long ago. But this belt looks different than the one we just put on a few weeks back. The grooves are different.

I don't remember being given the option of different belts when I picked up the first one.

But the car is silent. No squeaks, no chirps. Nothing. But it was silent after the first belt change, for about a week. So we'll see.

Until it starts acting up again, I've decided to burn the paper bag I was carrying around to put over my head while driving my embarrassingly noisy beautiful car. Maybe I'll even wash it today.

Maybe the wrong belt was installed the first time.

Or it may just be different aftermarket belt styles from different manufacturers.
