I have a 2000 Eldorado, the hood latch cable has pulled out of the metal cable end in the underdash lever, HELP. Does anyone have any idea how to reattach cable to underdash lever? Any ideas will be appreciated.

I can't exactly picture what you are talking about, but I would imagine it will need to be replaced.

I had this happen to me as well. The cable is not that expensive and it was pretty easy to replace (less then an hour). I also sprayed the hood latch with wd40 after I replaced the cable and that made it much easier to pull (trying to keep it from breaking again :-).

Thanks, a new cable is most likely the way to go. Not much cable left for a splice or small Remote Controlled Aircraft wire clamp.
