Here's a shot I took of the M5s at the event.. I'm in the back row, car #2. Car in the center front is a Race car, two left ones in the front row are Euro models (Super rare).

Biggest gathering of 1st gen M5s (E28s) ever.

All together we had almost 150 E12 and E28 5 series cars there.. hell of a time.

Looks like it was a blast! Lately I've really been getting into the BMW's made between 1987 and 02 (right before the Bangle era). It seems like that era was their peak for the stereotypical BMW design and performance, before they got so complex from both a technological and design standpoint.

Where the hell did you guys find such a nice parking lot? And damn thats a lot of bmws

:drool: I LOVE the euro front end on the e28s. How many M5s made it over to the US? I know the number for E30 M3s is a hair under 5000.

Any of those Canadian spec with the black interior?

Those were just the M5s.. there were about 150 75-88 5 series cars there in total... including one with 700whp! :eek:

The lot was at BMW of Chattanooga.. think it's their storage lot that they gracefully cleared out for us.

As far as M5s go.. a few over 2,000 were made in total, 1,320 sold in the US. There was ONE there with a black interior.. a US model, which is even rarer than the Canadian ones with black guts :)

Beautiful. Theres a reason BMW and Cadillac are my favorite brands :thumbsup:
