11-12 City, about 16 on the open road. 2000 Escalade. About average, I suppose, but, at today's prices, I wish it would go about twice as far on a gallon.:)

How does everyone figure their MPG?
If you only use the Info screen, it can be way off what you actually get because it takes the "average MPG" of ALL the time you've been driving.
A mixed average of city and highway.
I'm usually in the city and only on the highway for maybe 20 miles at a time once or twice a week.
My Info screen would read about 12.5 -13 and slowly drop down to 11- 11.5 the more I was in the city.
I took two trips ( 200 miles both times ) with in a week,.. unusual for me but after that my Info screen reads 13.5 almost all the time now.

What I have been doing now though,..
is setting the Trip odometer to "0" and,.. Gallons used to "0" ,.. every time I fill up.
Now when I do the math with the miles and gallons used, I'm actually getting 14.5 to 18 MPG depending on where I went between fill up.
One time I filled up,.. set everything to zero drove onto the highway for 20 miles doing 80 all the way, and when I stopped and did the math, actually got 20 MPG.
Just, some info.. :yup:

You can set the screen back to zero as well and then check each tank of gas or individual trip.

Anyway I get an Avg of 15.7 in a 07 EXT. w/ a catback, CAI and Diablo tune.

My info screen has settled to a point where it correlates with the actual mileage now. Occasionally it drops to 13.6 but goes right back to 13.7 in a few miles.

12 around town...between 19 and 20...consistently...on the highway (which means nowhere on Long Island) Recent trip to North Carolina gave me 20 mpg on the nose..this is in a 2000

I reset mine all the time to keep checking it, even use the calculator once in a while. ;)

You're right, I forgot about setting the actual screen.
I also have the Diablo Tune with just a K&N air filter and noticed a slight increase in the MPG with theTune. :yup:

If you have larger wheels that would make the difference on MPG .

Thats very true. My 2004 Avalanche had 22 inch rims and the 5.3, and that thing got worse mileage than my Escalade does. I think the problem was exacerbated by the fact I lived in a montainous area (Scranton, PA) at the time, but overall it was just bad. I think gas was still like 2.00 back then too. Its alot of unsprung weight.

Couple of pics for those who remember:

I'm new for all the Caddi world. Just got my fist ever 03 Lade last week. The car is 6.0 AWD , equip with 22'' rims and 305/40/22 tires. The average

Great forum.
