| View Full Version : 09 V rumour thread...get ur 09 rumours here...yeah baby CTSV_Rob 11-19-07, 11:51 PM Afraid it might be a bit much for her? JimmyH 11-19-07, 11:57 PM Afraid it might be a bit much for her? We are talking about someone who ran over a lawn mower. In reverse at WOT. CTSV_Rob 11-20-07, 12:17 AM :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: RT's husband is lucky the laws have changed. For your wife to drive you had to walk in front of the car while she was driving. He probably would end up in the hospital and wouldn't let RT drive anymore when he did get out. RightTurn 11-20-07, 12:27 AM We are talking about someone who ran over a lawn mower. In reverse at WOT. You wanna quit before you ruin my reputation? :alchi: I never ran over any freakin' lawnmower. :gah: RightTurn 11-20-07, 12:30 AM :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: RT's husband is lucky the laws have changed. I have been saying for months there should be a second gen CTS-V forum. Many of us do not care about the next gen V and do not care to discuss it. Then don't click on the 09 V threads, it's easy as that. We'll see how long all the Negative Nellies can refrain from talking about the next gen after it gets released and is on the street kicking ass. RightTurn 11-20-07, 11:34 AM damn this thread has over 6k post!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :tard: 04 Z06 11-20-07, 02:30 PM Someone correct me if I am wrong, but the new CTS is about 300lbs heavier than the old CTS (3870 vs 3560) and the old v-spec was about 3950lbs? If the V maintains this course, it too will weigh about 300lbs heavier.. I truely hope that isn't the case, because the car will be a tank, and like some have said, I don't care how much HP they give the car, no one wants a lead tank.. JimmyH 11-20-07, 04:00 PM 2009 CTS-V curb weight 4350 (w/jimmyh's fat ass, est) Or 4050 lbs if urby were driving... no it would be 4570 with my fat ass (4350+220) CTSV_Rob 11-20-07, 04:23 PM I sure hope we are wrong on the weight but how could the 09 V be any lighter then the base CTS? With the weight of the super charger it will be an even larger spread. Got a feeling the AWD V will have Tank tracks on it. The Tony Show 11-20-07, 04:35 PM Not to make this about Kraut mobiles, (but they are Cadillac's target competition) the new C63 AMG weighs in at 3800 pounds, has only 450hp and is drawing rave reviews for both its acceleration AND handling. The weight is not a huge factor as long as the chassis and suspension tuning is done properly. Remember that the Sigma II chassis has a 2" wider front track, which makes a monumental improvement in handling. Don't fret. CTSV_Rob 11-20-07, 04:47 PM Yeah but the C63 is lighter then our current V and the 09 V is going to pack on even more. The extra HP will take care of the acceleration but I would think you would feel the additional 300 to 400 pounds in the turns. JimmyH 11-20-07, 04:55 PM The C63 is a coupe, no? And it is ugly as hell. If that is the car I am thinking of. OldRoadDawg 11-20-07, 05:50 PM The C63 is a coupe, no? And it is ugly as hell. If that is the car I am thinking of. No - 4dr sdn Yes - ugly as hell (imho) http://www.mercedes-amg.com/C63/index.html JimmyH 11-20-07, 08:56 PM Other than the body cladding being way too busy, that is not an overall bad looking car. Whatever I saw the other day was a coupe and was bug-eyed in the front, and was def an AMG. The guy was a jackass too, I would have handed him his ass had I been in the V. CTSV_Rob 11-20-07, 09:02 PM I personally like the look of the C63 but I wouldn't trade in the V for it. thebigjimsho 11-20-07, 09:44 PM Where do you guys keep getting these C63 numbers? You're wrong. The C63 is OVER 4000 lbs... thebigjimsho 11-20-07, 09:58 PM http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-versus/121265-new-cts-v-has-some-serious.html The Tony Show 11-20-07, 10:15 PM Nice catch, Jim. I Googled it and found several sites showing it weighing 1,700kg, but it appears they were incorrect. JimmyH 11-20-07, 10:39 PM C63=automatic=thumbsdown=F**K that why is MB so clutch-phobic? MB is a corporation that spread their clutchphobia to Chrysler as well. Not that I care about either company really. Koooop 11-21-07, 06:08 PM Reality is Sticks don't sell well in expensive luxury cars. It just makes sense anyway you look at it not to mess with a Manual Transmission unless it's a 2 door sports car or an econobox. Once upon a time nobody wanted a Automatic BMW, then all the YUPPIE scum started buying them and for the most part a manual BMW is a totally unwanted red headed stepchild.
