ok has anyone had an issue with their windows all not working??

i cannot roll down any of my windows. it doesnt matter what door i try to do it from

i checked voltages according to the service manual for c1 connector and all of them are over 11.x but the right rear window c1 connector voltage ranges from 2.x to 1.x so it is way low on power

any help at all would be appreciated, i am no master in fixing wiring issues.

here is a pic of the schematic, the RR door mod is not working

Is there anything else on the car that you know of that is not working. That would help to determine if other modules are involved. Try removing the RR door panel and unplugging the module wiring for that door and see if it that would restore the use of the other doors.

hello yes i tried that and i did not get any results unfortuneately

i am about at wits end, idk why it is losing power when coming over from the driver side

the locks and speakers all work fine so i know it isnt a door module

If I am remembering correctly, there would not be power coming over from the Drivers side because all of this is on a Class II system, it would be more of a computer signal. Were you working on anything else before they all quit, stereo maybe?

Ya...what were you doing when it stopped working? Just driving? Messing with something(the fun part of owning a car) or it just stopped....

it is a flood rebuild car, everything else in the car seems to be working except for the windows now.

Open the door modules up and look inside, they just have little tabs holding them. You will probably see some sort of corrosion or burning. You might as well just replace them all. Anything electrical that got wet will need to be replaced.

It has to be something on the class II, it will do some really wierd crap, such as moving the sunroof selector knob, the sunroof wont move, but then roll down a window and suddenly it comes to life....I hope you really enjoy this car when you get it right, because damn dood, you've put some time into this sucker.

A bad right rear door module won't make all the windows not work.
You may have a problem in the right rear but I think you have a bigger problem.

Throwing parts at the car isn't going to fix it, as always it needs to be diagnosed properly.

I'd have to look at some more schematics to see specifically what the problem could be.
Opening a module and looking inside could help give some needed information. It is possible that the locks could work and the window might not, especially in a former submarine. ;)

If the data bus is affected then other systems should show problems as well, mainly warning indicators on the IPC or DIC. If you have none of that then we are looking at something else.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a while?
Sometimes the door modules get "logic locked" and do really crazy stuff.
Try that first and then let's look at the problem more closely.

Again, I have to hand it to you :worship: , you took on a huge project when you started this. I'll never forget that wiring harness spread out all over the place in one of the pics you posted.

Good luck!

i put in all new door modules off a repairable 05 V, do they need to be reprogrammed? i know all the modules are like new inside.

no warning lights on the dash at all. but service message through the nav unit, for some other codes i have i have a list i can pull them later today. the code list is way down from what it was when i 1st started.

yeah i have tried leaving the battery disconnected for a while that didnt seem to help at all.

any idea on why the power to the c1 module would be so low voltage comapred to the others? I think that i might be causing the issue since they are all ran on the same link.

I'll try to get to you as soon as I can on this one.
Bad grounds or high resistance could certainly cause problems.
On some cars they use a separate bus for window communication, I am not sure if CTS is one of them.
If the RR has a bad ground it could be corrupting the window control data.
I'd have to do some looking at the schematics and some brainstorming.
Pretty busy today....

I'll try to find time to look at this today.
Might be late.

Front door control modules need to be set for the proper vehicle type, no "programming" that I see needs to be done otherwise.
Looks like the rears are plug and play.

The modules all use Class 2 for communications, if you had a communication issue you'd have other problems with the vehicle, loss of HVAC control, IPC indicators on, etc.
If the door locks work then it is not a communication problem.

I would try disconnecting one control module at a time and then check the other windows.
If you are checking the right rear door module for power and ground accross the connector and the voltage is showing low still (module disconnected) then you need to try checking it to a good body ground or do a voltage drop test from the module ground to the battery ground.
G201 houses the ground for the RR door module, Not sure where G201 is off hand.

As I said, disconnect one module at a time and check the operation of the others, then go back to checking power and ground to the RR door module.
Let me know where you are later on.

Busy day ahead.

the door modules that i had bought were off an 05 V as well so sholdnt need to br programmed.

the door locks all work and lock when the car starts moving so those are good

i will try to start with disconnect @ rr and work my way towards drivers door and bakc the other way if i dont have any luck

i will be posting update here in a few hours

Ed I REALLY APPRECIATE ALL THE HELP!

OK here is what i tried to no avail

tried to get the voltage on the j1 right rear connector to rise from the .05 volts to the 12v like the other doors no luck

disconnected the mooduled from

RR LR RF LF and no luck

plugged em all back in and wenr LF RF LR RR and still no luck on getting them to work either.

:hmm:

the black/white stripe ground 201 is the on the 24 pin 3rd connector on the module plug ins

Was this issue ever resolved ? I seem to be in the same boat now. No Windows at all and Stock DIC/Stereo No Display everything else works...

92363I know the cause of your problem. Since this is a Flood car, its a corroded pink wire connection at right rear under the carpet. its part of the wire harness and you will have to cut electrical tape to locat. See picture included
