Ok, I've lurked here for quite sometime, and finally decided to post now that I have an '05 CTS-V parked in the garage.

Been lusting for the car for a while, and found one close to home that I imported into Canada from Washington state.

So far I am blown away by the performance of this car. What a shark on the highway, it just eats up the miles. Very fun to drive. Shifter is a bit notchy, so I'll have to consider a UUC. CAGS will probably be added too, but it has only forced me to 4th a couple of times.

I did notice that as soon as I crossed the border pretty much all the roads in Canada disappeared until I was home in Calgary and the #2 and #1 showed up along with Calgary. Nothing in Southern BC or AB. I'll be looking to upgrade the NAV disc soon.

Can anyone give me the service history on my V? I got a car fax before I bought, but that was it.

Check here: http://www.zenrin.com/infiniti/DVD/

6.5 covers a lot of Canada.

You might need to have your NAV unit flashed.

Read the sticky about the nav firmware upgrade then contact me.

I can hook ya up.

Did you buy it certified? If so, Cadillac will send you a new disc.

A guy here is selling a nice cags eliminator. Very easy to install.

I would wait on the shifter. It is very notchy, I agree. But after a couple months, I am already used to it. You might too.

Welcome to the club, and respect the pedal on the right.

Welcome to the club! Finally someone else from Calgary!! I changed to the UUC and bushings made it a different car. The CAGS eliminator is a MUST. It is really annoying if you have to shift over 3000 or under 2000! What part of town? I'm in Douglasdale. There is a STS-V here as well. A fellow from Sherwood Park is installing a maggie and will have it tuned in Calgary.

I have a friend that is an exec with GM Canada and should be getting the latest and greatest GM nav disc this week. I'll find out if it requires the reflash when I pop it in. If I do, I'll definitely be dropping Heavymetals a line if I can't pull a favor and get it flashed at a dealership.

I'm currently not out driving it because I have to get the Federal safety inspection done sometime this week and work is very busy right now.

I bought the car private party, so not certified through a GM dealer.

Albertan, I'm up in Kincora in the NW. I was down at the local Firebird/ T/A club show and shine at South Centre mall yesterday (Sunday) and an Infrared CTS-V pulled in just as I was leaving (I was in the Mazda, not the V).

As for the CAGS, I see everyone is saying StealthV, but I went to his site and it says he is not making them anymore. Who is the other guy I should be looking up?

I've used the search function on this site, but it seems pretty broad and returns a lot of results. I'll have to dive into the advanced search to narrow some stuff down.

No, it wasn't me. Didn't know there was a car show on, darn. I was doing rear brakes on the CTS and dropped in to Auto value. Guy there was from North store and mentioned another Infrared V with beige interior, maybe it was him there. You are about as far away from me as one can get!
ps I brought mine in from Ohio.
