Is the rubber boot at the base of a shifter on a 2002 Escalade easily replaced or even available separate from the shifter? If you need a pic to clarify, I can take one and post it.

You need to remove the trim covers around the steering column first, peel back the rubber boot if there's any left and then you can get to the bolt that holds the lever onto the column.
