Found this when I was digging through the manual trying to find out how to get the spare off the bottom of the truck...

Looks like in their prototype stages the center caps for the wheels were gonna have this ugly rivet design in them...

Glad they didnt do it, thats pretty ugly.

Stock wheels are ugly anyway so it wouldnt have made much difference

I disagree, I think the 2002-06 Escalades had some of the best stock wheel configurations available during those years. The 22's on the Platinum Edition are even better.

When I got my truck it had the stock wheels in alloy. I added stock chrome wheels, huge improvement. As for that center cap, I noticed in the owner's manual too. Those rivets look terrible, thankfully someone at GM noticed that too.

I agree the 20" Platinum Edition Wheels are some of the best looking OEM wheels around. They're so shiny and the 9 spokes make them look so nice.
