After replacing the engine in my 93 STS (with a lower mileage used one), I've got a "no oil pressure problem". Not just the "Stop Engine" message, but noisy also. I tried the overfill method for trying to unstick the check valve, and it seemed to work - until the excess oil was drained (didn't have the paper in front of me, so only drained the excess, not all of it). When I restarted with the correct amount, no pressure and a noisy engine again. What's next? Try it again? Any certain amount of time to let it run or number of revs to give it? My mechanic thinks there may be a problem with the pan pickup (that might be checked soon). Any other ideas?
