The rainy season is approaching so it's time to replace my slicks.

What's the consensus on tires ?
Are Kumhos still that good ?
Which ones and how many miles are you getting out of a set ?

I don't need the best of the best, just something that will last.

I did search but there hasn't been an update on tires in some time, I'm sure someone has some feedback on the newer models.

PEETYZ,
I did look at your review but can't find those tires in my area.
All the online places have the newer models for decent prices so I might go that rout.

I know the rains are coming so I should get some tread under me.:D

my mechanics swear by the cooper tire line. i've had good luck with them for touring comfort, handling and superior wear on all my cars. the cooper 225-55-16 lifeliner sle h-rated tires were $484.

I would go CONTINENTAL CONTI EXTREME CONTACT all the way I have used them before on other cars and honestly these tires are absolutely the best in snow rain or dry... Consider this my buddy had his dedicated winter tires on his neon and I had the contis on my neon and we were out a few times when the snow was coming down good and he didn not have any advantage with his tires over mine... we were both equally fast in the snow.

Tire rack has them for under 100$
