Has anybody had this conversion done yet? I have a 2004 SRX and will need it, but my problem is... I broke my antenna :crying: and need to replace it, I have seen a few on eBay and they claim they are for the digital system, not sure if there is a difference between them??? If I have to buy one, I almost would be better off doing the conversion now and save buying the antenna. Anybody out here have any in-site on what the kit consists of?

If you are talking about a glass mount antenna, a new one comes with the upgrade kit.
Don't even bother fixing it, you'll be getting a new one.
On SRX the kit has the antenna, base, coupler, and VCIM (onstar module).
(depending on the production date)

Thanks... glad I asked before I bought. Mine is a early 2004, I think build date was 11/03 so I knew I needed the upgrade. I will start talking to my dealer.

According to the upgrade bulletin any cars below VIN 40171353 should have a glass mount antenna.
That means if the last 6 digits on the VIN are smaller than 171353 you'll get a new antenna.
(the 4 is for 2004 and the 0 is for the assembly plant in Michigan)

So this upgrade is free with a 3-year contract?

1 year, non-refundable, non-transferrable plus $15.
Either $214, or $414 depending on which package you want.
