: NHTSA Wants Info on Rear Diff Leaks

I reported my 2006 STS4 rear diff leak at the DOT's NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation website:

I suggest everyone with the problem report it there so that we get some action on this.

Today I received this email below. They are looking for photos of the leak -- I just had mine "fixed" for the second time, so it's not leaking...now. But if anyone has photos or info, here's the guy to contact:

Dear Cadillac STS/CTS owners,
Here at ODI (Office of Defects Investigations) at the USDOT (U.S. Department of Transportation) we have received complaints on the rear differential issues. I am currently gathering information on this and I would like to receive pictures of broken/cracked/leaking rear differentials. Some of you also claimed that this issue led to half shafts cracking. If you have pictures of broken half shafts, please send them as well. Please reply to my email and attach the pictures digitally. Thank you very much for your time and effort.

Dear Lord!
Can you resize those photos?
This is like a 19" screen not a 60" plasma!

If your rear end leaks, you need to see a proctologist.
