This car specifications database is my pet project, and something I have been working on as and when I get time for what seems like forever:
http://www.street-car.net/forums/showthread.php?t=758
I now have most cars sold in Europe and North America on the database from 1992 onwards, and I am am slowly working backwards in year (I'm working on specs back to 1990 currently). It's slow progress as I don't get a huge amount of time to work on it.
Just click on any of the links on that page to take you to the relevant page containing specifications for that car. Hope you will find it a useful resource. Feel free to comment, I always appreciate contructive feedback.
Also, feel free to check the car discussion forums on the site. We're always looking for car fanatics to join in the discussions.

I thought all LeSabres were 6-seaters. So your interior isn't like this then?:

Maybe the centre console/bucket seats were optional.
With regard to the top speed, I try to be as accurate as possible and without an example of each kind of car to test I have to rely on my sources, which are usually magazine road tests or similar. However, I've just done another serach and found a source stating top speed is limited to 108mph so I guess I'll change it to that. It's a hard thing to verify though.

The '87-'92 Brougham 5.0's are inaccurate, the carbureted Oldsmobile 307 was used until '90 and produced about 240 ft. lbs. and about 140 horses. The TBI Chevy 305 was used in '91 and '92 and produces about 240 ft. lbs. and 170 horses.
Thanks for posting all of this though, it's nice to have this info in one place.

Thanks! For some reason I forgot to change the torque figure from the 5.7, which did have 300 ft lb to 255 for the 5.0, and the engine change in 1991 somehow escaped me. Looking on Edmunds and Consumer Guide they quote 255 lb-ft for both versions so I've had to go with that figure. I've also now made the distinction between the 87-90 140bhp and 91-92 170bhp versions.
Consumerguide.com has some pretty thorough specs.

307= 140hp, 255 lb/ft
305= 170hp, 255 lb/ft.
What else did you expect from the automotive rainman?
88Bonneville: Sweet idea!! I've always wished there was one site that I could go to that showed all of the essential specs: measurements, weight, engine specs, etc etc.

Consumerguide can be helpful to refer to but it does have a lot of limitations. It only seems to cover the more popular makes sold in the US and only goes back as far as 1992. I also notice consumerguide doesn't list performance figures at all and that they assume all versions of the same car have the same kerb weight, which isn't often the case.

And now you have such a site! :) Glad you like it! Sign up and say hi if you like.
