Hi there,

Hope everyone is doing good. I'm back with another question. My deville's fuel data readout is stuck on full and won't change? Has anyone seen this problem before and what are some things I can look at?

:bonkers:
Thanks,
Darrell (darrbey)

Well, it could be a problem in the fuel data center itself, but I would almost bet on a stuck float in the gastank.

Will I have to drop the fuel tank or is the pump and float system accessable from the top through a door in the floor pan somewhere?

Thanks,
Darrell

Usually when a fuel gauge is stuck on full, it means an open circuit somewhere. In other words a disconnected wire. Ck the harness to the tank fuel sender prior to dropping the tank. If power is present at the sender, then its inside the tank. Try adding another ground wire to another spot . sometimes the open circuit is because of no ground or a dirty, loose ground.
