According to Auto News there are currently 6800 07' STS's on dealers lots, which represents a whopping 122 days supply of inventory. Way higher than the 69 days supply average.

I'm not surprised.

I wonder if GM has scaled back production yet.

If I were GM, I'd put out a "last call" on the '07 STS.

On other sites, Cadillac exec's have been quoted saying the '08 would be available by mid-summer. This would mean production beginning by June.

The plant also needs time to prepare for the '08 CTS, which is a nearly all-new car.

Well, final '07 STS orders are to be in by May 4th, with production of the '08s scheduled for June 11th--so just a little longer for the current ones.

Expect to see an incentive rise on them, for sure, as there's always been a fairly large glut since the '05s, and some decent deals. Too bad that's also killed the resales to nothing, but we'll see if the revised '08 can do anything to help turn that around.

There are still quite a few 06 models left here in NM, going for about $14K under MSRP now. That's how I got mine last month!

The incentives on new Cadillac's in Michigan are not very good. I have been trying to lease a V6 SRX sport for my wife an it is as much per month as my 07 V8 1SG STS. Perhaps if the STS incentives improve I will have two, a V6 and an 8.

Look into the V8 SRXs. I hear that the residual bump more than makes up for the increase in MSRP that the V8 adds. Friend is PEPing a v8 (will take delivery this month) that will lease for less than an equally equipped V6.

I recently purchased a red 02 Z06 with 1,500 miles on it.

Guy was a fanatic. Plastic bubble over car when he was not using it. He never waxed the car because he ran it only a few miles each month. No parking lot chips. Unbelievable!!

Sorry to take so long to respond.
