Hi All,
This is my 1st time here, I came across this forum by acident.
My 94 STS blower motor is working intermitantly, but mostly not at all,
I got a replacement blower motor which I check with a battery to make sure it worked. The problem is still there. I need help ASAP I have a long trip to take my family on in a couple of days, and I need to get it fixed.
What controls the blower, could it be bad, and where is it on the car?
thanks for your ASAP help.

I am not familiar with the bolwer controls for the 94, but I am guessing that it is similar to the 97. I did not quite understand your post, did you install a new blower?

I know the defrost blower does not start up until the engine is warm, there is a control module which, most likely, has 3 wires leading to the blower. it could be that the module or the wires leading to the blower are intermittent.

Thanks for the reply.

The blower in the car was replaced about 6 months ago, I bought the new one last week, and before going through the trouble of the install I checked the new one with a battery and it ran ok, then I turned the car on and set the fan speed to max. and the blower did not come on, I disconnected the connecter from the one in the car and connected it to thenew one, setting near enough for the connector to reach. The new one would not come on either.
The 3 wires from the blower go into the main large harness, so I can not follow them to the module, there is nothing that looks like the module that I can see, I removed the glove box, and the dash panel there, and all I saw was the computer, and the actuator for the vents.
I think the module is bad, or has a loose connection, but not sure where it is. Where is the module on a 94 STS.
thank you alot.

I found the problem, it was two fold;

1. the the blower control wire from the blower to the control module, (which I found), was open. I replaced the wire.

2. the red female contact on the connector going to the blower was spread open to much, causing intermittant power losses. I squeezed the contact to make it narrower.

Problem fix, blower works fine know.

So does this mean you have an extra blower motor now?

Hello Reactor, I saw your post about having a couple of extra blower motors for a 94 STS which I might be interested in if it turns out that the control module is not the problem.

You mentioned in your posts that you finally did find the Blower Motor Control Module...would you mind telling me where you found it...I've looked just about everywhere except within the blower motor housing itself.

I have a 94 STS as well so it should be in the same place as yours?

Thanks in advance!
