Wow, that's pretty slick, and such a unique color. I really like the interior in that shade. Get that beast all polished up and you'll have a heck of a special Caddy.

The only thing I don't like is that grill. I've never liked those.

I do like that colour, it reminds me of the colours of the 70's Caddies but with a little more class and a little less exaggeration.

The bumper fillers will really bring it together.

When are you planning on getting it repainted? I can see so much potential just waiting to burst out, I hope you take her all the way.

Oh, but the poorly applied "gas slut" sticker must go, it takes so much class away from the car, and makes it look like the owner is ashamed of it. We wouldn't want that, now would we?

I am going to take it all the way.I want to repaint in the next year or so,after i get every little imperfection out of the body.I want to get a really high quality job done.

And about the sticker,i put that on when i first got it and never really thought about it,i wanted to get it done in green script,i'll probablyh end up taking it off.

You a big fan of Chuck Berry? lol

Anyways, it's great to see one in a different color, plus that sage green velour interior is a surprisingly nice color, I never thought I was one for a green interior, but that really works well!

yeah im gonna have to go with Giovanni on this one. lose that grill. the gold just doesn't go with the color. a chrome one would look sick.

well my friend you have one sick looking caddy. ive never seen one in that color before. the interior looks cherry!

I gotta agree too, lose that E&G grille, or atleast get a chrome one, it would go so much better with the Sage Green Paint.

If he wants to, I think there's a way to strip the fake gold and have gleaming chrome underneath.

I think the gold looks okay though, it goes with the money green theme IMHO.

I agree,i like the gold with the green.Im going to be taking the vinyl top off soon to adress the rust issues,i'll post some pics of it without it.

Cool, so I assume you're getting all new vinyl? Wouldn't metallic sage green be hard to find in vinyl?

The top is actually Aspen green, and it had been replaced once. There is actually two tops on the car, they just put the new one over the old one.So i assume if they could have it replaced once,i could do it a second time.

I wanna see pics of that car when you take the top off. I've never seen a D-Body made after 1979 with the metal roof.

So it really is lighter? I thought it was just faded or something. It would look better all sage IMO. I don't get why shops put new tops over old ones, that's just shitting workmanship, and I'd think it would be on the thick side.

Sandy told me awhile ago that it should have left the factory with a Sage Green top.He said they wernt supposed to have a different color top.Im pretty sure its stock though.

The '80- '84 Devilles without the vinyl tops wernt that uncommon, and as you know they were almost identical to the Broughams.Ive seen a couple.

I will post pics of the Brougham when the top is off.Its Sage Green under it,so it shouldnt look too bad.

I have to say that I have always loved those green interiors! Either sage like yours or lime-green like from the '70's.

I too like the color. It seems you have a little work to do but nothing major at all. Keep us up to date on the progress. I hadnt had my 87 Brougham out for about a month and took it out this week to stretch it legs. She starts right up and runs and drives as nice as the day she was made. Gotta love these cars

The grille is not stock. Its actually the second after-market grille ive had on it.The first one i got off an '88 Brougham,it was a dealer installed option, and was made by Alpha Enterprises out of California. Its now hanging on the wall in my living room.

The second one i bought from a guy who was taking his Brougham Limo to the crusher.I saw it at the auction i worked at and offered him $100 for it.He accepted. Not in mint condition, but still very very nice. Its made by E&G. A good deal considering ive seen the all-chrome grilles on Ebay for $600+.
