Prototype receiver blank (not current, from a long time ago) from Armalite for the AR15/M16. Aircraft aluminum. Totally uncut, just popped out of the mold. With a WHOLE lot of work and effort, it could be turned into a functional weapon. I'm just going to keep it the way it is, because I think its WAY cool.

Anyone care to take a drill, a dremel and a whole lot of spare time? :D

Like I said, my buddy is damn good with a mill, and his finished lowers all worked great.

Huh...cool. Yea, I've got a friend like that, runs his own machine shop and I've been amazed many many times by the things he can turn out. Had his own CNC machine once but sold it because it cost more to run that you could get out of it unless you're turning out a LOT of material. Eh, I thought the receiver was very cool. One of the best paperweights I ever had, right up there with the petrified scorpion I used to have!
