Well might I say BMW is doing it right again. The new M3 looks amazing. The V-8 equipped M3 has an estimated 410-450 horsepower with 0-60 time of less than 4.5. Weight Reductions such as plastic fenders, aluminum hood, and a carbon fiber roof, it wieghs less than nothing. They are also bringing back the sedan version of the M3 aswell, my dad is pretty much stoked and wants to get on the waiting list. MSRP $55,000 this fall. What do you guys think?

I know, I know!! Possible supercharger, intake, chip, and dinan exhaust and youll be pushing well over 550 horsepower..in a feather-light car.

Thanks, now i wont be able to sleep tonight.I'll be pondering how i can come up with the 5 grand to buy that.If it was one of the 55 SAGE GREEN coupes made that year i would also be doing laundry...

Did you or anyone see that Fleetwood road racer on ebay a few months ago? It had aluminum bumpers and a roll cage and stuff.

It's just a concept...
And I don't like the lines of BMW lately. In some way they don't correspond. The Z4 is a worse example of that.

its a concept thats going into production this fall...theyre bringing back the sedan version and wagon version too..Z4 has a very ugly front end, ill agree with you on that. But the lines IMO on the M3 are so nice and everything flows just right. Its everything i could possibly want in a coupe.

Correct me if im wrong, but i dont believe BMW ever had an M3 wagon,or at least not on these shores.

Nope, never had an M3 Wagon before. There were 891 or so M5 Wagons made from 92-95 and a handful of those made it over here via the grey market but that's it (OK, they made 2 E39 M5 Wagons in 2000 for VIPs). I did read that the new M5 will be available in a wagon as well but BMW claims they aren't importing it to the USA.

Oh, and as far as the "modding it to 500+ HP" comments go... I have what's basically a 98 M3 in my shop right now... 480WHP which si probably 530 or so at the crank... has a 2.93LSD in it that we built and bounces off of the rev limiter in 5th :D

Still gets 27mpg on the highway if you stay outta the boost... scary fast car.

At least Jon is with me.
I do respect the BMW technology. At least you can tweak the BMW like Wiseguy did. I still would like to see that on the CTS...

Well of course it's ugly... it's a new BMW. I got an STS over a 5 series for that reason.

I want it just so that I can drive like shit.
It's a little red rear wheel rice pan; how fun!
