Hi guys, I'm new here and need some help. I have a fried that just bought a 1980 Cadillac Seville with a 5.7 or 350 engine. Right now It won't start and is flooding over. So I'm going to throw a kit in the carb along with new plugs, wires, cap&rotor, and fuel/air filters. My question is about all the emissions crap that GM put on these carbs before EFI. I'm pretty sure the car has a ECM, but what does it control? What electronic sensors are on the carb? Also, can I swap a Edelbrock manifold and holley carb, and not have to change the distributor?
Thanks guys
