As already seen in the main STS thread, were the pictures and some details about the revised STS from GM.

Now it looks like the full ordering guide is up, and as such, so are the full specs on the regular STS and STS-V:

Mainly, for the -V, at least in new features:
-(UFL) Lane Departure Warning. Standard on STS-V. Included and only available in (Y53) Driver Awareness Package on STS.
-(UFT) Side Blind Zone Alert. Standard on STS-V. Included and only available in (Y53) Driver Awareness Package on STS.
-New design for (NR7) Heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel with Kinetic aluminum trim. STS-V only.
-(UV6) Head-Up Display now standard on STS-V.

Among other things I just didn't take the time to break down, but you can peruse through and read.

Yeah ! finally the HUD is available.

I have mixed feelings about the HUD. I drove a 1SG that had it and I loved it! The problem was that GM told me that it was impossible to be fitted on the STS-V because of the supercharger. I would have waited a couple years to purchase mine if I had known this was coming so soon.

its awkward that chrome rims are going to be available on the xlr v but not on the sts v... but a lot of the new features/options seem cool!!!

I'm not a huge HUD guy anyway, so no big deal. I like the lane changing and blind spot warnings though, very cool.

Great info, thanks!

The one thing i miss most from my Vette is the HUD...
My V is only 2 months old. I might have waited for that.
The Lane changing and blind spot management piece is also cool.

At least they didn't change the HP rating or I might have cried.

I have read through the 2008 list of changes here and elsewhere –
and I am surprised to see nothing about any upgrades to the MX0 \ 6L80’s shift behavior.

I currently drive a 2007 Corvette Coupe. On the 2008 Order Guide site GM \ Chevy states:
“Improved paddle shift automatic with quicker shift on (MX0) automatic transmission”.

Has anyone seen or heard anything about similar improvements
for the 2008 STS-v?
Since it uses a version of the same 6L80,
I’d hope that there would be comparable improvements in the Caddy Flagship. . . ???

Considering a Sedan to “go with” the Corvette . . .

Still no ventilated or cooled seats option?

Ray, the STS-V would be an awesome sedan to "go with" the Corvette.
