Anyone know where I can find a wiring scheme for a 98 deville. Mainly need the underhood stuff like Mass Airflow sensor, and fuses and relays. I have a wierd problem with some codes that Im believing are all tied together as far as wiring is concerned.

Well after I put 12 volts to the pump and it ran I plugged it back in and still nothing. So I checked the relay plug in on the fuse box for voltage and I get 12.2 volts for about 2 secs when I turn the key on. Checked the other side of the relay circuit and I get nothing. So I went ahead and pulled 12 volts from another fuse, ran a jumper wire to the fuel pump fuse and there we go, got the fuel pump running and the car fired right up. But now I a whole shit load of codes that follow. Any Ideas thanks.

P0102 - Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor Circuit Low Frequency
P0753 - 1-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
P0758 - 2-3 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
P1645 - Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Vent Solenoid Contorl Circuit
P1860 - TCC PWM Solenoid Circuit Electrical
Those are all current by the way.

FSM is the only place I know of to get a wiring schematic.

There is no single wiring diagram. Unfortunately, all the diagrams for modules and circuits are placed in with the repair and maintenance sections for everything from sections on engine electrical to tag light wiring. It's 2 books the size of NY telephone books.

Buy the FSM, get all diagrams plus all codes and how to troubleshoot them. Not Chilton's or Haynes, GM only.

The Under Hood Electrical Center is a big problem. Lots of corrosion. I have cleaned many fuse to fix a car. I have had many no cranks with corrosion on the starter relay. I have seen many no starts for corrosion on the fuel pump relay

The ESC fuse will set the P0753, P0758, P1860, P0102, P1645

Even corrosion or High resistance on the fuse will set the DTC's

Ive got the same issue on my 99 STS. Where can I get a fuse and can I easily change it myself?

If you remove the cover on the underhood fuse box there's a fuse/relay legend sticker there. On that legend there will be all the fuse and relay locations as well as 4 spare fuse locations and a plastic fuse puller: they're TIGHT !!

Same for the fuse box under the back seat.

It's all in the Owner's Manual.

Fuses come from any car parts store, K-mart, Walgreen, gas stations.

Glad to see you did some searching - this thread is 3.3 years old...........
