At 43 inches tall it should be called the GT43 :-)

If the production car looks like the show car it will be very special. Too bad it's supercharged, though. I wonder if Ford will use its supercooling AC-redirection concept here.

If I'm not mistaken, the Z06 beats the GT40 to beginwith. The Lingenfelter TT is much faster...

Lingenfelter is one of the best. They're not going for the biggest hp title, instead going for the fastest car title.
Also they have a 12sec 1/4mi twin turbo escalade ext for sale. ;)

Brett, Ford didn't name it the GT because they are a bunch of idiots. They named it the GT because they never copyrighted the name GT40, and some guy bought it. When they built the car, they wanted to use the name, but the guy wanted an insane amount of money for it. Ford said no and they called it the Ford GT. That is why it's not the Ford GT40.

Sal Collaziano, the Ford GT was designed to be faster and handle better than the Ferrari 360 Modena. That was the idea behind the car when Ford built it. If the Z06 can contend with the Ferrari, then it might be a match for the GT.

Over a Viper... Na, no way. A viper is a true enthusiast's car, that is a mid-late life crisis car, same as the 'vette. You could cheese on high school girls with that car provided you didn't forget to wear your toupee that afternoon. :D

I forget which show I was watching on Speedvision last night, maybe it was Two Guys Garage, but they were at the Sema Show and there was one of those at a booth all decked out in camouflage paint and crap. I thought to myself, "why would anyone go hunting in a tractor trailer?", until I realized what it was. And we thought the H2 was rediculous, oh well, this is America after all. Don't you just love this country.

lol, there is a nice artical in the new Motor Trend about it...

one cool fact.. International has a contract with Ford for rights to the pickup bed, since they didn't have any of their own... that is an F-350 bed on the International...

fINALLY,
A TRUCK WITH A MOTOR AND BUILT DURABLE ENOUGH FOR ME!!! I HAVE THE NEW MT- AND THERE IS AN ARTICLE ABOUT IT. IT SAYS 115,000$ BUT IT WON'T FIT IN MY GARAGE :crying2: THE ARTICLE SAYS 500K MILES WITHOUT A TUNEUP!!!! ASHTON KUTCHER HAS A BLACK ONE. I THINK A 16" CHOP ON THE TOP WOULD MAKE IT MUCH MORE PRACTICAL.

Ford owns part of International/Navistar... they use the VT365 aka Powerstroke 6.0 and use to use the T444E aka Powerstroke 7.3 in the F series. I can recall for a time Ford actually had a truck simmular to that, it was called the F-650 SuperCruizer. Sat in one at a fair. Very luxurious, ment to tow trailers though.

Not surprising that Navistar is using Ford's truck bed though :p win win for both.
