...I'm really dying for a white one with red leather, moonroof, and a cabriolet roof, 94-96 only! I have been checking Ebay everyday. I'm going to give my 94 to my parents.

Man, that's admirable.

Hope you can track down your "dream" Fleetwood.

Someone here has a 93 just like it. I don't want the 93 though. I really hate that steering wheel. OH god I have dreams about this car! I WILL HAVE ONE!

Cool! That sounds like a really hot color combo, white/red. It's like 1958 all over again! Would the entire interior be red, or would it be red leather with white dash and carpets? That cabriolet roof you mention, is that the vinyl top that was standard on the FWBs or an aftermarket cloth top?

and, again, just remember the flash makes this a little more fire engine that it is, but it's still deep red (second pic not mine, but more accurate):

I certainly LOVE the combo, save for the white vinyl top which looks great clean but has really gone to hell every few months, due to a mildew issue of sorts. Actually, most of all, when I got my Marble/Neutral '95 I thought I'd be in love with the interior, and I am, but then I get in the Garnet Red '93s and it just seems richer and more luxurious to me.

Pity it was only available, and rare at that, in '93 models, but after that, I can see how it just wouldn't have been a hugely popular or ordered color. You could get Dark Cherry from then on and through '96, but it's essentially purple, and not as rich looking as the Garnet Red.

Actually, on that note, back in November of '05, I found a Sable Black '93 Brougham with the Garnet Red leather AND a factory moonroof with only 66k, but it was in MA and not 100% tip-top. Even had someone here look at it for me, and I never moved on it aside from calling the dealer, and somewhat still kick myself. It needed some minor stuff, but the color and moonroof combo was killer, as were the miles, and in daily driving I still think our '93 has the same or more balls in stock form as my LT1 mostly does, plus seems to sip fuel a tad easier.

Oh well, I guess I too am still hoping on finding another special one some day:thumbsup:

Black/Red would be so cool, but my favorite color combo is that dark teal with the tan leather interior.

Yes, yes you're the one. You had a Roadmaster too. I remember. I LOVE the red and white. LOVE. I want one. I have been searching Ebay but they don't have anything I'm crazy about. I see a white one but no moonroof and that sucks. I got used to mine and couldn't see buying one without this option.

The cabriolet roof was an option I believe. I never saw it in white though. I like that roof better because it looks more massive with it for some reason and I love the chrome detailing on the trim of the roof and above the rearview mirror.

There was never a factory "cabriolet" roof, those were just aftermarket jobs done after the fact by shops dealers hired out to. I think they look grotesque, especially since most don't hold up like the factory vinyl, and the snaps and extra trim just looks gaudy, but to each his own. Also on that, most are cloth--which does have it's own whole set of maintenance issues--and is the main reason why you very likely never have seen a white one. Black or tan cloth is one thing, but imagine white cloth on the exterior of a car...possible, but not the best idea for most.

As for the moonroof, if you ever find a Fleetwood that's even the right color combo, you'll likely never get so lucky as to find one that ALSO has that. That being said, 50%+ of '93-96 Fleetwoods you find that have moonroofs had them installed aftermarket, just like those different tops, and even 10 years old + used, you can have the same thing done. I too wanted one, and we only came across one Fleetwood that actually did have one a few years ago. So, though it's not very likely anytime soon, if I still have my '95 in a few years, I very well might have one done--actually recently got a price quote, and done just like OEM, a power inbuilt slider was actually just a few bucks over $1000 installed.

Either way, best of luck in finding the right one, and even if you find one that's mostly right--especially in condition, miles, and color--really consider it, because things like the moonroof and even the tacky cabriolet top are still big aftermarket items.

Oh, and yes, still have the matching white/red Roadmaster too:

...which will hopefully be getting a wheel & tire change by summer time, to improve the look and give it fresher rubber.

I love gaudy and overly excessive, so I love that top (and I love the rolls grill also) If I came across one that didn't have the canvas top, but a moonroof, I'd settle. I don't think I will find the combo that I want, but I definitely want WHITE without a doubt. I love white Fleetwoods.

I was thinking of putting a moonroof in if I bought one without one, but how would that work with the rear vanity lights? I know the head room is lower in the back of my car because of the moonroof and the vanity lights, so they would have to move the lights obviously no?

Oh and I want to put opera lights on my Fleetwood! :)

Well, you're own your own with the ugly roof and grille (that totally ruin the car's lines, but everyone has their own idea of style, which is great:thumbsup: ), but as for the sunroof...

From the factory, with the moonroof, the rear visors were deleted and the headliner dropped a bit to make room for the sunroof. Aftermarket, though, as most were, the mirrors stay just as they are and the place doing the roof just modifies the headliner insides a bit to allow for the sunroof space--they don't knock it done as far as with the OEM one, though. Here's several examples of aftermarkets in a Fleetwood:

Thanks for the pictures !
I didn't know that OEM sunroof would cause the rear visor to be deleted .Then aftermarket sunroof is the way to go

Those headliners look great. I need to have mine redone badly.

Supa, have you tried autotrader? If the car's outside your area, one of the other members could go check it out for you.

Yeah, that's usually one of the best sources, especially for narrowing down a specific year & color.

Of course, I've been addicted to searching there for them for years, and can honestly say there has been a LOT less of them in total anymore, especially in the most desirable colors & trims. They pop up, just not as easy to find anymore. Autotrader was how I found my '95, and completely by accident, at the end of the list once, never really putting 2 and 2 together and seeing how close it was. So once I did, how lucky I was to find the best year, good miles, great shape, and a killer color combo.

The other tricky one is just how many get listed in various newspapers nationwide, but as few then cross-link their ads with national sites, it's next to impossible to ever find one that way.

Here's all the white '94-96 Fleetwoods currently on Autotrader, at least:
