I Have A 94 Concours Dic Reads Battery Volts High Had Battery Charged And Tested Battery Ok If The Alternator Was Bad Wouldnt It Say Battery No Charge Also I Disconnected The Battery While Car Was Running And It Shut Down Instantly And Horn Sounded

If the regulater is bad it can over-charge the battery and burn it up. I'm not familiar with your DIC so I don't know if it displays volts. If not just take a multi-meter and check the voltage at the battery with car running. It shouldn't be over 14 volts.

NEVER remove a battery cable on a computer controlled engine with it running, voltage spikes can damage body and engine computers. Believe what the DIC says and replace the alternator with a Delco rebuilt. Not repairing it soon can also damage sensors and the battery itself. You are performing 1970's diagnostics on 1990's car. The factory alarm went off as it should because it detected tampering!

I have given up on aftermarket alternators, modules, starters, and coils. Too many failures, and I wonder if they are seconds. I now stick with AC Delco.

LOL, yes I think "weirder" is a word. Strangely IF I TYPE IN ALL CAPS when I'm quoting a reply it does not compensate like that.
