I just bought a 1996 DeVille. It did not come with any fobs for keyless enrty.
I just figured it was a base model without the bells and whistles.
I was just browsing a website about Cadillacs that said keyless entry was standard on all Cadillacs in 1996. If that is so, then maybe I can just get two new fobs and program them. How can I check to see if this DeVille came with keyless entry? Anyone know what the build code was ? Did some DeVilles in fact come without this feature.

Yes, it has keyless entry. My 96 Deville didn't have any fobs either, I bought them off of Ebay.

Hand Held Key Fob Keyless Entry came out in 1992. It was an option.
