Hi Guys,
I know this has been done before, I'm just not too sure how difficult it is as I couldn't find much detail on the conversion.
I'm looking at buying either a loaded base or DHS, but really want the console shifter outta the DTS. I assume that if i had a DTS doner car it wouldn't be too difficult?
Thanks!

This is the only thread I've found, so I know it's possible...but there is very little detail as to how hard it is to do....

Someone else just recently did it and I am in the process of searching for a console & shifter myself. Shouldn't be too hard...... I hope.

I guess my biggest question is how does the shift linkage work? That's gotta be the hardest part if it's not 100% electronic.
The shift "linkage" is actually a cable. I think Logan told me that the column cable could be made to work. Time will tell. I believe he also said that some or all of the plugs may be different so there may be some wiring modification to be done. Also the traction control wiring will have to be rerouted to the console button.
I just scored a set of FSM's on Ebay after several losses (they went for rediculously high prices). Now all I need is the console & shifter.
